Turns out, cussing words are not used instead of other words, trying to hide the lack of adequate vocabulary, but it helps a person express themselves more freely, enriching their already rich vocabulary. Turns out swearing makes us feel better, and we generate those cuss words from a deeper part of our brains, and not the cortex like the rest of the language.
